Thanks for your list.I ghostwrote for Gene Roddenberry 1987.#6 is the worst error. The first borg drawn was Locutus/Picard as a borg. The only reference I made to insects was the dark hoses made the appearance of a cockroach.Even the Queen Borg was done as requested,as was Hue/hugh adding color to drabness(hope for humanity). Nerys(syren backwards)was in my cast of lead characters for DS9(Deep S%#T 9LOL).I requested an actress who resembled TV's (60's)Elinor Donahue (Father Knows Best) for Ro Laren and Inger Stevens (Farmer's Daughter) for 7of9.On a very strange side note I ghostwrote for more than Trek. The Martin Landau connection to Nirvana...His wife Barbara Bains(Mission Impossible/Space 1999) inspired the stage name for Kurt O'Connor I gave him after I gave him the concept and formula for "Grunge" late 80's. Co-bane. O+C in O'Connor/backwards C+O+Bane.I designed the Mars rovers and Gene sent the drawings to Nasa JPL for me.My over 1000 pics are of people, animals, fossils on Mars. Please visit http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a221/jlehane3/ They look like us,and perhaps we are related to the Mars people.Oh yeah well, they don't ALL look like us...you'll see.

It seems the make-up for Mr. Spock changed quite a bit even after William Shattner took over as Captain. The Cage/Menagerie with Gary Lockwood? as Captain Pike Mr. Spock appears as most people picture him.

Regarding the interracial kiss, they DID have two versions of the shot. One which showed the kiss. And another (which was used in production) which panned behind Uhura and didn't show their lips actually touching, just Kirk's glare at the Platonians.

[...] One day, if everything goes according to plan, taking the family on a trip to Venus will be just like taking a trip to the Grand Canyon. You’ll pack up the space van with as many space-suitcases you can fit, leave an extra large bowl of bacon bits for your Robo-Dog, and take off for the troposphere.
