While the Batman franchise has been a cultural staple for many years, Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker propelled its popularity to new heights and created a whole new generation of fans. Given Ledger’s successful, it’s no surprise that the Joker is now impersonated and parodied more than ever before. From network sitcoms to homemade political satire, the Joker’s iconic face has popped up just about everywhere, including in our own web series, “Blue Movies.” Inspired by Ledger and the infiltration of the Joker onto a porn studio set, we thought we’d take a look at some of the weirdest, funniest, and sometimes creepiest Joker tributes of all time.
1. Obama Joker
Firas Alkhateeb, a 20-year-old college student from Chicago, was bored and decided to “jokerize” a Time cover of President Obama. After uploading the image to Flickr, an anonymous person grabbed it, digitally removed the “Time” logo and added the headline “Socialism.” The image became a media sensation, spreading rapidly across the Internet and popping up at various right-wing protests around the country.

2. Holy Speech Impediment, Batman!
This comedic impersonation comes from the folks at Monkey and Apple. Maybe Batman and the Joker would get along if they had a better line of communication. Unfortunately for the Joker, when he confronts Batman about his lack of clarity he is met with fierce resistance in the form of several blows to the head.
3. Ronald MacDonald Joker
I’ve always known that Ronald McDonald was a sociopath. This Joker mash up just confirms it.

4. No Make-Up Needed
This impersonation from CiscOreo is so good that he doesn’t even need makeup. Although to be honest, he might need some therapy.
5. Safe-Sex Joker
Even the Joker knows there’s nothing funny about a case of genital herpes.

6. Feline Joker
This version of the Joker reminds us of Catwoman, but with a lot less sex appeal.

7. Jedi Joker
Mark Hamill (a.k.a. Luke Skywalker) does a great Joker impression. And he should, considering he was the voice of the Joker for “Batman: The Animated Series.”
8. George W. Joker
Obama got the Joker treatment, so it’s only fair that George W. should be “jokerized” as well.

9. Walmart Joker
As YouTube’s very own underdog1511 shows us, even the Joker enjoys a good value. That’s why he shops at Walmart.
10. Johnny Depp Joker
When the poster for Public Enemies came out, people noticed an uncanny similarity to the poster for The Dark Knight. Thanks to the folks at Screenrant.com, we can have the best of both films.

11. Dance-Off Joker
In this video from YouTube user Patrick Boivin Batman and the Joker decide to settle things the only way they know how: with a dance off!
12. Heath Ledger vs. Cesar Romero
In this web-comic from CelebJihad.com, Heath Ledger and Cesar Romero discuss their interpretations of the Joker.

13. Fat-Bearded Joker
Have you ever wondered what the Joker would look like if he was fat and had a huge beard? Thanks to Graham and Friends, you need wonder no more.
14. Patriotic Joker
I’m as patriotic as the next man, but this poster doesn’t exactly inspire me to go out and buy war bonds. Hard core drugs? Perhaps.

15. Drunk Joker
This impersonation of the Joker wouldn’t be so bad if the guy doing it wasn’t half in the bag. In all fairness, the video is from Ireland, so what did you expect?
16. Creepy-Kid Joker
The only thing creepier than Heath Ledger’s version of the Joker is this little girl’s impersonation. Enjoy the nightmares courtesy of Flickr user Elko Weaver.

17. Office Joker
Dwight from the office is creepy enough on his own. Throw in a Joker Halloween costume and he’s downright frightening.
18. Homoerotic Joker
I always thought that the Batman franchise couldn’t get any more homoerotic than Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin (1997). That was before I found Angelo Nairod’s Flickr page.

19. Make Your Own Joker
Want to do your own Joker impersonation? Now you can, thanks to this do-it-yourself make-up tutorial from YouTube user Petrilude. He can also show you how to cross dress, if that’s your thing.

I wonder why the obama one got so much attn?
Er, how does Mark Hamill do a “Joker impression?” Until Heath Ledger his was easily the best take on the character and it was uniquely his own.
