To Be Or Not To Be…Yourself
At some point in our lives, we’ve all wished we were somebody else. And frankly, if you’re going to pick somebody else, then why not someone ultra cool or smokin’ hot. These two KoldCast short films ask…what if?
WALKENTALK
Although I can’t say I would ever choose to be Christopher Walken, it’s hard to argue that he’s not the epitome of old-school cool (only Jack Nicholson can compare). Whether you’re a fan of the famous watch scene in Pulp Fiction or Fatboy Slim’s “Weapon of Choice” music video, Walken is a modern day pimp in the most flattering sense of the word.
In Walkentalk, director Philip Zlotorynski shows us that sometimes being yourself just isn’t any fun.
I AM STAMOS
Let’s face it, good-looking people get all the breaks. John Stamos has had a robust career winning casting directors over with his good looks and great hair. Even Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly think he’s the bee’s knees. Hell, he was married to Victoria Secret model Rebecca Romijn!
In I Am Stamos, director Rob Meltzer shows us the horror that ensues when a lowly character actor is given the magical ability to appear as John Stamos when photographed. “Fuck you Stamos. It’s my face now.”
Marti Resteghini is VP of Network Programming and Acquisitions here at KoldCast TV. Formerly, as vice president of development and production at Warner Bros.-based production company, HDFilms, Resteghini oversaw the development, production and distribution of feature films, television and new media content across multiple platforms. In this post, Resteghini produced many high-profile Web series including “Chadam,” “Creepshow: Raw,” based on the 1980s cult classic feature film, and Crackle’s “The Jace Hall Show.”
