FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Jillian Clare wins Best Actress in a Drama at the 2011 ITVFest
Hectic Friday night for the young actress ends victorious
HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 15, 2011) – After wrapping her latest project, THE KITCHEN, starring Laura Prepon and Bryan Greenberg, teen actress Jillian Clare (who portrays Nikki in the indie feature) made a quick wardrobe change, had her hair and make-up refreshed and jumped in her car for the Friday night drive across town into Hollywood to attend the 2011 International Television Festival Awards Gala. Nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Miss Clare arrived just in time to join best friend and Miss Behave co-star Brett DelBuono (also nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series) on the red carpet for a few photos and interviews prior to the dinner and show.
To her excitement and surprise, nineteen year old Jillian Clare was awarded Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her compelling performance of troubled teen Tori Archer in the popular indie drama Miss Behave. Jillian said “I was so excited just to be nominated and didn’t expect to win at all. What a great way to end the week-long festival!” Miss Behave, created and executive produced by her mother Susan Bernhardt, follows the story of Tori Archer, an affluent Malibu girl growing up without much guidance from her mega-successful parents, Elizabeth (Hollywood’s publicist to the stars) and William (a famous author). She has a heart of gold, and knows right from wrong, but succumbs to peer pressure and consistently makes poor choices that cause irrepressible situations and problems. “Tori definitely had a lot of drama in her life during our second season of Miss Behave” Jillian adds. “The storyline was very intense at times – which gave me the opportunity to have some great dramatic moments.”
