KoldCast TV Names Marti Resteghini as Editor-in-Chief of The Sixth Wall Blog

August 1, 2011

After two years as VP Programming at KoldCast TV, Marti Resteghini begins the transition to Editor-in-Chief of The Sixth Wall, KoldCast’s nearly two-year-old blog site.

The Sixth Wall was launched only three months after Marti joined KoldCast, and Marti has been the primary pilot of the site during her service as our company’s VP Programming. At its 2009 launch, The Sixth Wall was designed as a marketing vehicle for KoldCast programming, and it has proved to be an exceptional vehicle in that regard. We now believe that the time is right to build upon the success of The Sixth Wall and take it to the next level, by complementing our pop culture/marketing-centric content with timely and relevant editorial that supports the direction of our company and our industry.

Based upon internal dialogue over the past few months, Marti will focus her efforts solely on The Sixth Wall, leaving her VP Programming post in the weeks ahead. KoldCast viewers and readers of The Sixth Wall can look forward to a new site design, new features and serious editorial coverage of the continuing, and accelerating, merger between traditional broadcast/cable television and what has historically been referred to as web TV, among other exciting editorial initiatives. Our Shows remain central to our strategy, and The Sixth Wall will continue to be one of KoldCast’s primary marketing vehicles, introducing new viewers, across the Internet landscape, to our selective premium programming.

Prior to joining KoldCast, Marti was vice president of development and production at Warner Bros.-based production company, HDFilms, where she oversaw the development, production and distribution of feature films, television and new media content across multiple platforms. In her position, Marti produced many high-profile web series including “Chadam,” “Creepshow: Raw,” based on the 1980s cult classic feature film, and Crackle’s “The Jace Hall Show.”

As Marti assumes her Editor-in-Chief responsibilities, her prior programming and licensing responsibilities will shift largely to Greg Samuels, VP Content Management and co-founder of KoldCast Entertainment Media, LLC. As most people who work with KoldCast know, our company is team-managed, and quite personal, so we expect a seamless transition of responsibilities. Congratulations, Marti!
