Court Street Productions’ The Book Of Dallas Inks International Distribution Deal With KoldCast TV

God Recognizes She Has Terrible Spokespeople in this Original Internet TV Dramedy

Los Angeles, CA – July 10, 2012The Book of Dallas, an original Internet television series filmed in Evansville, Indiana and surrounding areas, has been signed for distribution by international television network KoldCast TV.

Written by Joe Atkinson and produced by Atkinson, Jakob Bilinski, and Marx H. Pyle, The Book of Dallas tells the story of Dallas McKay, a 25-year-old atheist whose drunken stumble in front of a speeding truck suddenly lands him in Heaven – and face-to-face with the God he didn’t believe existed. But God isn’t angry; after all, she notes, “I have terrible spokespeople.” Instead, she has a mission for Dallas: Return to Earth, write a new Bible that removes the reasons people use God’s name to fight, judge and kill each other, then take it on a book tour and sell it.

KoldCast, based in Los Angeles and Irvine, CA, will premiere Episode 1 of the weekly Show’s 10-episode first season beginning Monday, September 17th. Each of the Show’s HD episodes will run between 10 and 20+ minutes in length and will be available to view via the KoldCast TV Network site, found at www.koldcast.tv; via set-top boxes; connected/smart TV’s; mobile devices, and on additional third-party platforms KoldCast syndicates its programming to.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be joining the KoldCast family,” said series creator and showrunner Joe Atkinson, whose production company, Court Street Productions, is behind the project. “When we started this project, we knew we had a great cast, a great crew, and a powerful story to tell; our biggest hope was that we’d find a place where a few people could watch The Book of Dallas. To have an international network with the following and reputation of KoldCast TV even take an interest in the Show, much less decide to distribute it across all of their platforms, was beyond even our wildest dreams.”

KoldCast Entertainment Media’s CEO, David S. Samuels, said, “Our network carefully and diligently selects original television programming from among a large and growing number of pitches received every day from filmmakers and producers around the world. From these pitches, we find the gems which make our network special. We are confident The Book of Dallas is one of these gems. From the moment we read the series synopsis, the producers earned our full attention. In a world now undergoing dramatic change at every turn, we found the Show’s story timely, relevant, and uniquely original. Each step in our programming selection process which followed, confirmed our original instincts. The smart writing, cast, crew, and high production values of the Show guaranteed its place in our programming lineup. We are thrilled to be working with Joe Atkinson and the entire production. Our audience will undoubtedly be entertained by The Book of Dallas when it airs this September.”

The Book of Dallas, which largely takes place over the course of Dallas McKay’s book tour, features a cast of 45 speaking roles, and a key crew of about a dozen people. While most of those working on the project are from the Evansville area, the Show also features actors from the Indianapolis, Chicago, and Cincinnati areas.

Among The Book of Dallas’s main credited cast are:

  • • Benjamin Crockett as Dallas McKay
  • • Clay Evans as Hank Jackson
  • • Jeanne Whitney as Lindsey DuPree
  • • Kevin Roach as Benjamin Dolerman
  • • Rusty James as Grant Hammel
