Hipsterhood: Where the Hipsters are Too Cool for Each Other, and Too Awkward for Themselves!
By T6W Staff
USA Today cannot report on every Internet TV series, but they did report on Hipsterhood, the brilliant new comedy series shot in Silver Lake, CA, aka Hipster Central. Each short episode packs a satirical punch and delivers the subtle truths about the awkwardness of human interaction in the digital age. As stated by Portable in its review, some of the most amusing social commentary on the hipster trend plays on the fact that unlike other subcultures, who bond together over shared interests, the hipster denies being a hipster, and in fact wants to stand out as opposed to blend in (at least, on face value).
Hipsterhood is about a pair of hipsters who continue to meet/run into each other though they never get to say hello. So caught up in their own little hipsterist world… they can’t even actually meet.
